Company is an architectural aluminum and glass facade manufacturer and installation contractor specializing in low and hi-rise commercial and industrial 

Summary

Design and engineer exterior facades, produce CAD generated drawings and Bills of Materials lists for order and fabrication

Responsibilities
 
-- Design and engineer custom exterior facades for monumental building structures 
-- Produce complete submission drawings from architectural drawings and specifications
-- Produce fabrication drawings per system requirements and input of project managers
-- Produce erection and assembly drawings for use in factory and at jobsites
-- Update existing submission drawings per review comments and design changes
-- Produce detailed bill of materials for products and components.
-- Create custom templates and drawing blocks utilizing AutoCAD.
-- Provide dynamic input to manufacturing and installation personnel 
-- Provide input and guidance to Project Engineers and Assistant Project Engineers as required
-- Coordinate and perform Design Assist services to architects and designers and effectively collaborate with the construction team to perfect
      and execute façade designs

Qualifications

-- 5 years minimum previous experience as Project Engineer in this industry
-- Ability to read construction drawings & specifications
-- Ability to read, interpret, and implement building codes specific to our industry
-- Ability to design aluminum extrusions and interfaces
-- Knowledge of high performance glass and aluminum infills and integration into façade
-- Familiarity with all commercial construction techniques 
-- Technically proficient, detail oriented, and thorough
-- Ability to manage and work under deadlines on multiple projects 
-- Competence with construction management software
-- Ability to prioritize tasks and complete in an organized and timely manner
-- Ability to work with high level of precision and accuracy
-- Highly motivated individual capable of dealing effectively with others
-- BS in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or Computer Graphics or equivalent
      experience and Associate’s degree
-- High competency with Autodesk AutoCAD software – version 2013
-- High competency with Microsoft Office software – version 2010 or later
-- Competency with Building Information Modeling – Autodesk Revit is a plus
-- Competency with 3 dimensional and rendering software is a plus
-- Design Assist experience is a plus
