Summary
Our client is a leading ACM and metal cladding fabricator and installer. We are seeking a Senior AutoCAD Designer who will be responsible for creating/drafting shop drawings per construction documents, utilizing point cloud data to update shops based on field conditions, and generating part drawings for fabrication based on those updates
Responsibilities
-- Meet submission & fabrication schedules
-- Revise drawings as required, per red line markups and written directions
-- Review shop drawings prior to submission to ensure proper product application
-- Liaise with architects, engineers, and project managers to gather product and structural requirements and designs
-- Generate fabrication drawings from approved shop drawings utilizing AutoCAD and the company’s proprietary software
-- Develop shop-drawing plans, elevations, wall sections and details for architectural aluminum
products, from estimate takeoff, project specifications, architectural and structural drawings utilizing AutoCAD
Qualifications
-- At least five years of experience in drafting/designing of ACM, IMP and rainscreen systems
-- At least seven years of experience in drafting & design
-- Must be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit 2020; Recap experience is preferred
-- Ability to think in three dimensions and possess a willingness to learn construction sequencing and installation requirements
-- Ability to read and understand construction documents
-- Completion of a Drafting Technology Program or Associates degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred
-- Excellent organizational skills
-- Must be detail oriented and able to meet deadlines
-- Must have excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
-- Ability to work independently, while actively seeking out ways to assist the team
-- Work with and mentor junior draftsmen
-- Proficient with Microsoft Office
