Client is a manufacturer and distributor of various perforated building facades, exterior cladding, decorative facades and interior surfaces

Summary

Responsible for the development of detailed technical drawings, including shop drawings and fabrication drawings. Strong understanding of architectural and construction drawings, detailing, knowledge of materials, and fabrication requirements. Able to perform under tight schedules and deadlines with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities
 
-- Responsible for the development of detailed technical drawings, including shop drawings and fabrication drawings. 
-- Strong understanding of architectural and construction drawings, detailing, knowledge of
-- Review drawings and understand basic scope prior to starting any drafting.
-- Request project CADD drawings from Project Manager
-- Attend hand-off meeting between Estimating and Project Management.
-- Prepare first draft of shop drawings based on the details provided in the contract drawings, and submit to Project Manager for comments. 
-- Once comments have been returned from Project Manager, incorporate all mark-ups, and double check work for accuracy.
-- Once Drafting feels the drawings are 100% complete, submit to Project Manager for final approval
-- File all shop drawings and submittals per company standards, both electronic and hard copy.
-- Gather product data for fasteners, sealants, underlayments, etc. List of items provided by Project Manager.
-- Revise submittals and incorporate field dimensions as required and directed by Project Manager.

Qualifications
 
-- Working knowledge of Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) software (AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor, SolidWorks, etc.)
-- Associated Degree in in CADD or equivalent job experience
-- Industry specific drafting preferred (sheet metal, cladding systems, metal fabrication)
-- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering and 10 years of experience in Construction Management
-- Contractor’s license or Professional Project Manager Certification.
