Summary

This position asses bid requirements and make certain that the data is acquired to bid and obtain the project. Estimators must aggressively follow-up with subcontractors to ensure that bids are received.  Estimators also work with the Project Management teams to follow-up on bids and budgets to close the business

Responsibilities

-- Maintain detailed and organized records of bid documents, correspondence, and other project specific information
-- Provide in-depth estimates to the hiring companies clients

-- Accomplish sustainable sales. Evaluate real vs. estimated costs and work with leadership to modify standards properly

-- Regular and predictable attendance, safely performing tasks and adherence to all safety policies and procedures

-- Provide consultation, coordination, and assistance to our clients, sales force and internal personnel

Requirements

-- Strong knowledge of computer estimating software to prepare estimates of building envelopes & their applications

-- Knowledge of composite metal panels, infill options, and glass

-- Must be able to understand architectural specifications and provide detailed estimates that include different building envelope solutions

-- At least five years’ involvement in estimating glazing projects from architectural information

-- Organized, self-starter with the ability to handle numerous projects, phones, prioritize workload & work with minimal supervision
