Company

Client is one of the leading distributors, fabricators and installers of aluminum composite materials (ACM) in America servicing ACM and other cladding systems including aluminum plate, insulated panels, porcelain enamel panels, stainless steel, etc.  

Summary

Prepare drawings for the fabrication of architectural aluminum products (aluminum metal panels, column covers, skylights & brake metal shapes) used in the construction industry

Specific Duties

-- Develop shop drawings for assigned projects with minimal supervision
-- Modify existing systems and help to develop custom systems for projects assigned
-- Develop elevation views and wall sections from architectural drawings with guidance of the applications supervisor
-- Convert architectural details to those specifically applicable to the company’s systems with minimal guidance
-- Locate potential problem areas of assigned project and work with the structural design group, project managers, and other support groups t
-- Assist in development of custom systems and modifications to existing systems as required by project specifications
 
Qualifications

-- Good understanding of glazing industry and products, covering both design and application
-- Good organization ability with emphasis on documentation and planning
-- Good communication and administrative skills
-- Experience in handling a variety of projects with minimal supervision
-- Must have field installation experience
-- Ability to negotiate in a fair, firm and friendly manner
-- At least two years of industry experience
